Abstract :
[en] Long-strip elements are plentiful in ai rcraft structure; they represent one type of MSD structure. Existing methods are unsatisfactory in one way or another for determining SIFs of long-strip elements. We propose a better method that is semi-analytical and numerical and that by passes to a large extent the shortcomings of existing methods. Sections 1 and 2 describe in detail our method; section 1 explains the principles and construction of a semi-analytical algorithm; one special and quite important part of our method requires full discussion in section 2. Section 3 gives a numerical example in the form of a long-strip of finite width with two cracked holes; numerical results show preliminarily that our method is indeed better than existing ones. We expect that our method is promising for wide use in SIF calculation of MSD structure with complex loading and geometrical boundaries.
